Dit resulteerde in de vrijwel gelijktijdige oprichting van het tijdschrift Voeding, de Voedingsraad met haar voorlichtingsbureau en de Voedingsorganisatie als onderdeel van TNO. Het voornaamste instituut binnen deze laatste instelling werd het Centraal Instituut voor Voedingsonderzoek. Hier, in 1953, een blik in het analytisch laboratorium te Utrecht.
